I have not been kind to Ron Paul and his participation in the Republican primary campaigns and it has taken me a while to understand why he is doing this. It is clear that he wants to be around to influence the Republican platform and the issue about which he is abundantly correct is the Federal Reserve.

Elizabeth Warren has made many bold statements in her run for the Massachusetts seat in the US Senate.  Warren took shots at the wealthy and corporations during a 2011 speech.  “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own, nobody. You built a factory out there—good for you! But I want to be clear.  You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for.  You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate.  You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for.  You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did.  Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea—God bless. Keep a big hunk of it.  But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along”.

He said he would “fundamentally change America,” and, true to his word, he continues to do just that. It’s one of the few campaign promises he made that he is keeping. Problem is, “change” doesn’t mean “better.” His unspoken vision for America was shaped by the third world country in which he was born, Kenya, as well as another third world country in which he was raised, Indonesia.

Obama continues to reshape America to conform to his distorted vision that was shaped in his early years. He has now shifted his campaign rhetoric to convincing people that they should settle for being mediocre. [More...]
